Job Details Position: PATIENT SERVICES LEAD (full time) Location: Poplar Bluff Regional – 3100 Oak Grove Road, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901 (online applications only) Schedule: Full time schedule; Days and hours may vary. Open availability preferred. Requirement: Prior supervisory experience required. Pay Range: $18.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour. Job Summary Patient Services Leads coordinate patient meal service and special requests for the Patient Dining Program. They ensure Patient Dining Associates are adequately trained and units are properly staffed to provide service, creating a culture of comfort and compassion in the healthcare environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee systems and processes to ensure that strategic and operational objectives of the Patient Dining Program are accomplished. Supervise Patient Dining Associates, ensuring they provide services such as helping patients make menu selections, assemble, and deliver or pick‑up meal trays. Work with caregivers and the culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences, or when additional selections are requested. Interact with nursing staff to evaluate, on a daily basis, patient meal selection, tray completion, delivery, and retrieval processes. Respond to patient needs promptly and communicate problems or concerns with appropriate personnel in a timely manner following department procedures. Assist dietitians in monitoring patients who cannot eat orally, are on liquid diets, or require specific calorie counts. Adhere to facility confidentiality and the patient’s rights policy as outlined in HIPAA policies and procedures. Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO. Follow HACCP guidelines, a prevention‑based food safety system for meal assembly and distribution. Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures. Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in company policies and procedures. Conduct daily associate team meetings following the company’s branded GR8 Start Meeting guidelines and template. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to communicate and read documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and operation and maintenance instructions. Aptitude for effectively operating the hospital’s ADT system and other computer‑based systems that manage patient care records.
