The ideal candidate is an experienced operator who thrives in both fast-paced environments and growth-stage businesses, and who can build strong systems while fostering an exceptional hospitality culture.DeliverablesFinancial PerformanceRevenue Performance: Meet or exceed budgeted restaurant revenue. Actively identify and execute opportunities to drive sales through dine-in service, takeout, online ordering, third-party delivery, beverage sales, private events, and other revenue-generating initiatives. When revenue is projected to fall below budget, identify the cause and implement timely corrective actions.FOH Labor & Cost Management: Maintain FOH hourly labor and other directly controllable operating expenses at or below budgeted expectations.Net Operating Income: Deliver budgeted Net Operating Income for Bub & Grandma's Pizza. The General Manager is accountable for the restaurant's overall financial performance, working collaboratively with the Head Chef.Hospitality & Guest ExperienceHospitality Standards: Consistently deliver an exceptional guest experience across all service channels, including counter service, dine-in, takeout, and online ordering. Establish and maintain clear hospitality standards that reflect Bub & Grandma's values and commitment to the neighborhood.Guest Satisfaction: Maintain strong guest satisfaction through proactive hospitality, effective service recovery, and continuous improvement.Team & CulturePositive Working Environment: Build and maintain a positive, professional, and supportive working environment for all Bub & Grandma's Pizza employees.Team Development & Retention: Build a well-trained, accountable, and dependable FOH team capable of consistently executing restaurant standards. Develop strong hourly leadership, establish clear training expectations, and create opportunities for employee growth and advancement.Food Safety & ComplianceHealth Department Rating: Maintain an "A" rating with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health at all times. Ensure the restaurant consistently operates in compliance with applicable health, sanitation, and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all daily operations of the restaurant, including all front-of-house functions and coordinating service with the back of house team.Lead the transition from takeout-focused service to full-service dine-in operations.Develop and refine operational systems to maximize efficiency, quality, and guest satisfaction.Ensure consistent execution of food and beverage standards.Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team.Create staff schedules and manage labor costs effectively.Provide ongoing coaching and performance management.Lead by example in hospitality, work ethic, and professionalism.Maintain operational systems (POS, online ordering platforms, scheduling tools) to maximize efficiency and output, while ensuring first in class guest service and ensuring staff are properly trained on their use.Ensure all food and beverage products meet quality standards and are executed consistently.Handle guest feedback and service recovery with empathy and professionalism.Monitor compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulationsManage inventory, order supplies, and control food, beverage, and labor costs.Develop and implement systems to increase efficiency, and enhance the guest experience.Oversee daily cash handling, deposits, and end-of-day procedures.Ensure all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and functional.Foster a positive and professional team environment; lead by example and support staff development.Uphold company policies, values, and standards at all times.Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience, pizza or fast-casual experience preferred.Experience building teams and improving systems.Comfortable working in a growth-stage environment.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.Proficient with restaurant POS systems (Toast preferred) and basic financial reporting.Proficient in using scheduling software (7Shifts preferred).Passion for food, hospitality, and team development.Familiarity with delivery platforms (e.g. Uber Eats) and online ordering systems is preferred.Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.Benefits:Employee discountsOpportunities for growth and advancementHealth and/or dental benefits with a company contributionSupportive, inclusive work environment that values integrity, creativity, and collaboration
