Senior Manager, Clinical Data Systems

AbbVie seeks a Senior Manager for Clinical Data Systems to oversee clinical trial data operations, manage technology implementations, and lead a team responsible for database design and regulatory compliance. The role requires clinical data expertise, technical proficiency, and strong leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple therapeutic areas and oversee clinical database operations and deliverables
- Evaluate and implement technologies for performance improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Supervise internal and external resources, conduct performance assessments, and develop direct reports
- Ensure SDTM deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and submission expectations
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and establish strategic direction for operations activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, life sciences, or equivalent; Master's preferred
- 8+ years clinical database design, data loading, and database modeling experience; or 9+ years similar technical/clinical development background
- Intermediate SAS and/or SQL programming skills with expert database concept knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of CDASH and SDTM standards and clinical trial processes
- Demonstrated ability to influence others without direct authority and mentor in matrix environments
- Strong analytical and communication skills with proven track record of organizational advancement
