Financial Management Specialist
As a Financial Management Specialist, your typical work assignments may include:
Constructs quarterly continuing resolution models and restricted spending plans when full-year appropriations bills are delayed, establishing controlled spending levels that sustain mission-critical operations within the rate of operations authorized under the continuing resolution.
Oversees the formal distribution of approved appropriations to respective programs and sets funding templates in UFMS to control distributed funding levels and avoid overspending against allotted amounts.
Exercises delegated allowance approver authority at the highest level within the Administrative and Fiscal Unit, serving as the approving official for transactions that commit, obligate, and disburse SOD funds.
Identifies funding trends, execution risks, projected shortfalls, and resource requirements; and recommends corrective actions and funding adjustments to support mission objectives.
