Family Medicine Physician

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Science Center-Shreveport seek a Family Medicine physician in the Department of Family Medicine & Comprehensive Care . Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine and be eligible for active Louisiana Medical Licensure. Graduating Family Medicine residents are welcome to apply. This position is for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine.

Department hosts 5 residencies and 1 fellowship with 79 residents and 2 fellows

- 1 rural Family Medicine program
- 1 EM/FM program

Refill center managing over 70% of your refills
Ambient listening available to everyone in Primary care to reduce documentation time
LPN Care Coordinators dedicated to closing care gaps on your behalf
Ochsner On-Call to reduce call burden
Remote messaging Nurses to reduce in basket messages sent through the portal
Outpatient Care Managers to assist with complex patient management and helping with social determinant of your patients Health
Digital Medicine - supporting the management of patients with chronic conditions.

This position:

Community positions available
- Clinical teaching of medical students and residents available
- Outpatient only or Outpatient/Inpatient
Academic positions available
- Clinical and pre-clinical teaching and mentorship of students, residents and fellows
- Outpatient only or Outpatient/Inpatient
- Research and scholarship opportunities
