RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work five 8-hour shifts with weekend and weekday call responsibilities
• Call schedule shared between 2 RNs - on call Monday, Tuesday, Friday-Sunday, then Wednesday/Thursday the following week in rotating pattern
• Provide overnight and weekend call coverage
• Care for patients recovering from general surgery, GI endoscopy, and post-operative procedures
• Work with patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Manage daily census of 3-5 patients in 4-room unit
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• 2 years of nursing experience required with travel experience highly preferred
• Patient ratio experience of 1:1 required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Must demonstrate competency in Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, conscious sedation, airway assessment, IV management, pain assessment, and various surgical recovery procedures
• Experience with accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care, and pediatric PACU preferred
• Must complete compliance requirements including RTO, license verification, and lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance
