Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 8-Hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: Variable, between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM Experience: 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience in Abdominal, XI Robots, and Vascular procedures. Description: This position is focused on the surgical room for general procedures. Candidates will not be involved with neuro or orthopedic cases. Experience with the following is required: Abdominal, XI robots, and Vascular procedures. Candidates should specify their experience with cases including breasts/plastics, vascular, laparoscopic, general oncology, genitourinary, and gynecology. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with a Level III NICU. It has a Magnet designation and is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center. There are 636 beds and 21 operating room beds. Patient ratios are 1:1. Support on the unit includes Charge Nurses, Leads, Supervisors, and Manager. The charting systems used include EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis. Team members are cross-trained to all main OR and urology centers, with no floating to other locations. Surgical scrubs will be provided by the facility, and surgical caps are allowed but must be covered by a surgical bouffant. Starbucks and a cafeteria are available on campus. On-call expectations include a 30-minute response time, with an 8-week call schedule consisting of overnight shifts. Weekend coverage is included in the call schedule.
