You will thrive in this role if you are:A proactive self-starter who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative without being askedWarm, positive, and calm under pressure, bringing a reassuring presence to a busy householdSomeone who genuinely enjoys caring for children and supporting their growth, independence, and daily routines with patience, kindness, and consistencyHighly organized, with a talent for creating and maintaining systems that keep a home running smoothlyAn excellent communicator who keeps the family informed while working independentlyComfortable balancing household management, administrative support, errands, meal prep, and light childcare as priorities shift throughout the dayDependable, trustworthy, and able to manage confidential household information with discretionFlexible and adaptable, with a willingness to jump in wherever needed and take ownership of evolving responsibilitiesSomeone looking for a long-term partnership with a family who values professionalism, initiative, and mutual respectKey Responsibilities:Family Support & Child Assistance:Provide reliable afternoon school pickups for both children (two separate schools)Assist with after-school logistics, including sports drop-offs and activity coordinationPrep backpacks, snacks, and school lunchesKindly encourage kids to participate in age-appropriate tidying and household routinesLight supervision and backup childcare as needed during afternoon hoursAssist with kid-related errands (supplies, activities, etc.)Support light errands for extended family members as requestedAdministrative & Personal Assistant Support:Own and maintain the household calendar; calendarize weekly schedules and keep the family on trackCoordinate school events, appointments, and activity schedulesAssist with travel planning and coverage logistics when parents are away, including coordinating sitters for overnight careTrack receipts and assist with basic budget oversightHandle school supply coordination and event prepHousehold Organization & Maintenance:Create and maintain household organization systems (pantry, kids' spaces, drawers, medications, etc.)Perform daily resets and prepare the home ahead of cleaning visitsLight tidying including dishes, surfaces, and high-traffic areasAssist with event, holiday, and guest prepSupport packing and unpacking for family travel; help kids lay out and organize their itemsCoordinate seasonal swaps and donation drop-offs as neededInventory & Errands:Manage weekly grocery shopping aligned with dietary preferencesRestock pantry, fridge, and household suppliesManage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)Handle returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, and mail/package managementMaintain running household supply listsMeal Support:Prep healthy, clean dinners five days per week -- focused on whole foods, with ingredients prepped and ready to assemble (vegetable chopping, ingredient coordination, simple meal prep)Accommodate household dietary needs: pescatarian and vegetarianPrep school lunches dailyMaintain kitchen cleanliness and organizationLaundry & Linens:Wash, fold, and organize laundry for the householdHandle ironing, steaming, and any special garment careRotate linens and maintain a tidy, well-stocked laundry areaPet Care:Feed and walk the family dog as neededSchedule vet and grooming appointmentsMaintain pet suppliesVehicle Upkeep:Keep family vehicles fueled, clean, and organizedSchedule routine maintenance and track registration and insuranceVendor & Property Oversight:Oversee and coordinate with regular vendors (cleaners, landscapers, pest control, HVAC, etc.)Maintain an ongoing list of household repairs and follow through on coordination with handyman as neededSupport seasonal property maintenance and manage outdoor spacesDeep Cleaning & Special Projects:Assist with occasional deep cleans (fridge, oven, baseboards)Refresh entry, mudroom, and garage areas as neededTake on organizational projects for toys, gear, and specialty storage spacesHow to Apply:Please submit a short intro letter, an updated resume, and 3 professional references with contact information.Please note that this role requires a background check.When you apply with Sage Haus, you'll also be added to our candidate community email list so we can share hiring updates, resources, and opportunities.
