In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.\**About the Role** The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor leads a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Engineering Technicians supporting the production of Electrophysiology (EP) catheters in a regulated medical device environment. This role drives daily engineering support, process stability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to ensure safe, compliant, and high‐quality products.**What You’ll Work On*** Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers/technicians supporting EP catheter manufacturing.* Prioritize and assign engineering work to meet production, quality, and capacity goals.* Oversee process ownership, documentation, validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), and change control.* Provide hands-on support for line issues, root‐cause investigations, and CAPA activities.* Analyze process data (yield, scrap, SPC, CPK) to improve performance and reduce variation.* Drive continuous improvement, automation, tooling, and process optimization projects.* Ensure all engineering activities comply with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and Abbott procedures.* Collaborate with Operations, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain to support product and business objectives.**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Chemical, or related field).* 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering within medical devices or a regulated industry.* Experience supporting complex assemblies or catheter-based device manufacturing.* Demonstrated leadership capability (team lead, project lead, or formal supervisor).**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience with EP catheters, cardiovascular devices, micro-assembly, polymers, bonding, or braiding.* Strong background in validation, documentation, risk management, and structured problem-solving (DMAIC, 8D, 6σ).* Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment with strong ownership and communication skills.**What We Offer**At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
