Position Summary
We are seeking a Commercial Property Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, appearance, and operation of office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties. This role is responsible for preventative maintenance, repairs, property inspections, landscaping, painting, tenant service requests, and other tasks necessary to maintain a safe, functional, and professional environment across our portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, doors, windows, and general building systems.
- Respond to tenant work orders and maintenance requests.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and property inspections.
- Identify and address safety hazards and maintenance issues.
- Perform interior and exterior painting, touch-ups, and minor carpentry repairs.
- Maintain landscaping, flower beds, sidewalks, parking lots, and common areas to keep properties clean, attractive, and well-maintained.
- Assist with snow and ice removal, seasonal property maintenance, and weather-related repairs.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation.
- Participate in after-hours emergency response as needed.
- Perform other duties necessary to maintain the overall appearance, safety, and value of the properties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of commercial property maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, landscaping, and general building systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide excellent tenant service.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
