Mechanical Engineering Leader

Overview Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 8+ years of experience to grow and expand our Mechanical Practice in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Practice Builder at Kimley-Horn you will serve clients by winning and delivering exceptional work, managing projects profitably, and mentoring the next generation. Responsibilities Project Management role in conjunction with lead engineer responsibilities. Oversee the HVAC design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients. Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls. Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas. Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24. Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability. Write responses to Requests for Proposals and Requests for Qualifications for various clients and marketing opportunities. Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team. Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects. Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance. Qualifications 8+ years of related experience. Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls. Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas. Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24. Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects. Able to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance. Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability.
