Scientist, Rare Disease Biology
Scorpion Therapeutics
Role: Rare Disease Biology Scientist focused on discovering and advancing therapies for rare diseases, particularly involving autoimmune and tissue remodeling mechanisms. Responsibilities: design and execute in vitro/ex vivo studies to investigate disease pathways such as immune dysregulation and fibroblast activation generate data supporting target validation and program progression integrate experimental, genetic, and clinical data to develop mechanistic insights contribute to innovative assay development collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners present findings internally. Requirements: PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related field; or Master's with 2+ years or Bachelor's with 4+ years research experience. Preferred skills: expertise in fibroblast biology tissue remodeling cellular assay design and advanced data analysis with transcriptomic or proteomic approaches experience working with primary human tissues and advanced in vitro models familiarity with AI-driven tools is advantageous. High-Value: focus on autoimmune diseases like Thyroid Eye Disease, tissue remodeling, fibrosis, and inflammatory pathways experience in translational research and complex biological data interpretation.
