Physical Therapist (PT) Acute Care PRN Alexandria, VA, United States Job Identification: 675031 Posting Date: 04/17/2026, 01:49 PM Job Schedule: Part time Locations: Inova Mount Vernon Hospital Job Description: Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Inpatient Rehab Therapy team. This role will be PRN - 5 weekend shifts per quarter with at least one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) per month, and 1 Inova recognized holiday per year. Physical Therapist (PT) Job Responsibilities: Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols. Performs re‑evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly. Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Gives appropriate instruction and supervision to assistive personnel consistent with program/clinic policies and regulatory requirements. Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Licensure: Physical Therapist upon start (VA licensure or compact privileges) Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon start Preferred Qualification: Physical Therapist (PT) experience Inova Health System is an Equal Opportunity employer.
