Temporary, thru Dec. with the possibility of extension / PT-Member Support Specialist

M-F / 9:00-1:00, with flexibility / $15-$20, based on skill and experience

FUNCTION: Perform a wide variety of tasks requiring mature judgment, confidentiality, and initiative. Assist customers on phone and in person.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provide administrative and customer service support for member activities, programs, products, services, projects, and events.
• Provide support for print & electronic communications.
• Greet and assist callers, visitors, and clients.
• Determine the needs of members, then handle as many of the demands as possible.
• Provide support and coordination for membership databases maintenance, tracking, and filing. Post changes. Provide reports as needed.
• Daily preparation, reconciliation, and posting of cash receipt batches.
• Promote and inform members about relevant programs, products and services.
• Receive and input registrations for events and education sessions.
• Set-up and clean-up the meeting rooms as needed.
• Provide regular reports and suggestions for improving customer service.
• Provide assistance to other administrative and accounting staff as requested.
• Support managers and meeting planners
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS : Experience in customer service from an office, banking, or retail environment. Requirements include: proficiency in MS Office products, good speaking voice and vocabulary, pleasant personality, ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with a wide variety of customers, ability to shift rapidly between numerous duties, and ability to work quickly and accurately on tasks requiring strong attention to detail. Must possess good time management, communications, computer, and planning skills. Must be dressed and groomed as a professional. Must thrive in a rapidly changing environment and work well under pressure. Must be bondable. Occasional on-site meetings assistance. Occasional early or late work hours may be required. Must be able to pass credit check.
