Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry We are currently seeking a Project Engineer-Mechanical to join our Engineering and Design team in Seattle, WA . This role is responsible for providing design task support to a level of quality that leads to a minimum number of required clarifications during construction. Additional responsibilities may include: Project Management Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions. Learns and follows McKinstry Engineering standards and procedures. Contributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently. Manages own workload to deliver assigned tasks on time and in budget. Identifies training, coaching, and support needed to complete assigned tasks Design Develops familiarity in structural systems design, including seismic anchorage calculations associated with equipment anchorage and multi‑discipline coordination. Performs engineering calculations, design, and drafting tasks. Produces design drawings and building information models for construction. Pursues an understanding of the technical foundation of design activities and decisions. Other duties as assigned. What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry Internship or one (1) year experience in related field. Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline required or equivalent work experience required. Onsite construction experience considered and welcome. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Knowledge of Revit preferred. Knowledge of other CAD/BIM tools welcome. Familiarity with MATLAB, VBA, Python and structural analysis software, such as Bentley platform, RISA, SAP 2000 software tool welcome. Engineering in Training Certificate preferred. EIT required. The pay range for this position is $34.47 - $47.26 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is considered non‑exempt and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
