City Operations Manager - Columbus

Bird is a global leader in micromobility seeking a City Operations Manager for Columbus. The role is part of the Operations Team and involves managing local markets, full P&L ownership, stakeholder relationships, and strategic project delivery. Job Summary The City Operations Manager in Columbus works with Regional Operations leadership to manage operations across multiple small markets. Responsibilities include end‑to‑end market operation, performance tracking, data‑driven optimization, stakeholder coordination, cost management, staff oversight, and cross‑functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong execution skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude. Responsibilities Manage the end‑to‑end operations of the market with oversight from Operations leadership. Track and report operational, ridership, supply, and demand metrics. Use data to optimize processes and solve problems. Coordinate with city officials, vendors, and third parties to resolve operational matters. Drive continuous growth through local campaigns and initiatives. Monitor costs and maintain profitability. Provide daily oversight, coordination, and training of operational staff. Prioritize tasks and overcome obstacles. Collaborate and influence across the organization for timely resolutions and process feedback. Take initiative, work independently, and start projects without supervision. Must Haves 2+ years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year managing team members. Self‑motivated, energetic, and driven with the ability to learn new skills and grow with the role. Strong communicator who can engage senior leaders and inspire teams. Ability to build networks and liaise with external partners and city stakeholders. Strong Excel or data‑management skills. Experience solving complex problems, exercising judgment, and navigating ambiguity. Skill to simplify difficult problems into actionable tasks. Data‑driven mindset with attention to detail and focus on process improvement. Comfortable learning and adapting to new tools and concepts. Other Requirements Must reside in the Columbus Metro Area, ideally within a 30‑minute drive to downtown Columbus. Expected to report to the warehouse 5+ days per week.
