Telemetry Observation Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Observation Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a 10-bed observation unit dedicated to patients undergoing evaluation for various medical diagnoses. The typical length of stay for patients ranges from 24 to 48 hours, and you will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor patients in a telemetry observation setting, interpreting cardiac rhythms and vital signs.Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide patient education regarding their conditions.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient care.Function autonomously, demonstrating strong clinical decision-making skills.Document patient progress and care in electronic medical records.QualificationsMust possess an active nursing license in Massachusetts.Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is required.A minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience is necessary.Experience with Epic or Cerner electronic health record systems is preferred.Ability to commit to weekend shifts and holiday rotations, with every other weekend required.Shift InformationThis position requires working 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week. Flexibility to accommodate block schedules is dependent on unit needs.Additional InformationNight shift on-call requirement of 5-6 shifts in a 6-week period (from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM).Float may be required within the scope of medical/surgical telemetry to meet facility needs.Parking is available free of charge in unrestricted spaces or in designated lots nearby.If you are an experienced Telemetry Observation RN seeking a dynamic environment where you can make a difference, we encourage you to apply!
