We are looking for a full time Periodontist to add to our Babylon, LI, NY team. We have a talented team and hygienists to support this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat periodontal (gum) disease.
- Place and restore dental implants.
- Perform gum grafts and other periodontal surgeries.
- Evaluate patients for oral inflammation, bone loss, and gum recession.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists on patient care.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-operative instructions.
- Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with healthcare regulations and infection control standards.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Completion of an accredited Periodontics residency program.
- Current state dental license and board certification (where applicable).
- Strong clinical, surgical, and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and patient care abilities.
- Knowledge of modern periodontal techniques and dental technologies.
Skills:
- Expertise in periodontal surgery and dental implant placement.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary dental team.
- Proficiency with electronic dental records (EDR) and digital imaging systems.
