Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controls / Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC programming and FactoryTalk View HMI/SCADA development . The ideal candidate will have experience designing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting industrial automation systems in manufacturing or process-industry environments.

The engineer will work closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to develop reliable control systems, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC control systems using Studio 5000/RSLogix.
• Design and develop FactoryTalk View HMI/SCADA applications.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC logic using Ladder Logic and other programming languages as applicable.
• Configure and troubleshoot EtherNet/IP industrial communication networks .
• Integrate and troubleshoot VFDs, motors, sensors, and other automation devices .
• Develop and tune PID control loops for process applications.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and control drawings .
• Review and interpret P&IDs to understand process instrumentation and control requirements.
• Perform PLC/HMI commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
• Diagnose automation system failures using PLC diagnostics, I/O status, alarms, communication faults, and electrical documentation.
• Support system modifications, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, process, manufacturing, and maintenance teams.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, control system specifications, and engineering reports.
• Follow established engineering standards, safety requirements, and project procedures.
• Provide technical support during equipment installation, commissioning, and production startup.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation platforms.
• 3+ years of HMI/SCADA development experience using FactoryTalk View .
• Strong experience with Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000 .
• Hands-on experience with EtherNet/IP industrial networks.
• Experience with VFDs and common industrial system interfaces .
• Strong knowledge of Ladder Logic .
• Working knowledge of PID control .
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and logic diagrams .
• Ability to understand and interpret Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) .
• Strong PLC/HMI troubleshooting and commissioning experience.
• Strong technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to established engineering standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG, food & beverage, consumer products, or process manufacturing .
• Experience with SCL / Structured Text .
• Experience with Function Block Diagram (FBD) and Graph/SFC programming.
• Experience with PLC/HMI validation .
• Experience supporting manufacturing equipment from installation through commissioning and production.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field .
