Service Manager Responsibilities Manage daily operations of the automotive service department. Oversee service advisors, technicians, and support staff. Drive service department sales, profitability, and efficiency. Monitor KPIs including labor gross, hours per repair order, and customer satisfaction. Ensure high levels of customer service and CSI performance. Manage scheduling, workflow, and repair order processes. Handle customer concerns, escalations, and retention. Work closely with parts and sales departments to maximize performance. Service Manager Qualifications Experience as an automotive service manager, service director, or fixed operations manager. Proven leadership and team management experience in a dealership environment. Strong understanding of service department operations and KPIs. Ability to drive profitability and performance. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Service Manager Skills Strong leadership and management skills in automotive service department operations, including team management, service advisor oversight, technician productivity, and workflow management. Expertise in dealership operations, customer satisfaction (CSI), retention, and service sales performance.
