Join us!Shift Information: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 8 to 4:30Job Summary and QualificationsAssures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.Demonstrates ability to run equipment safely and effectively according to mfg. guidelinesUtilizes supplies and supportive equipment appropriatelyUtilizes appropriate cost containment methods when ordering and selecting equipment and suppliesApplies knowledge of radiation safety during daily assignmentsMaintains safety precautions with use of radiationMonitor or circulator on all diagnostic and interventional proceduresAnticipates physician needsDocuments all patient assessments, intervention, and response completely and accurately on approved forms or mediaConducts and/or reviews patient's comprehensive health care assessment and history on admission, analyzes assessment data and formulates appropriate plans in an ongoing and systematic mannerProvides direct patient care, administers medication, starts IV's, controls narcotics, maintains crash cartAdministers and documents IV conscious sedationGives timely and complete report to receiving RN on floor after case completedProficient in utilization of hemodynamic monitoring equipRecognizes basic dysrhythmias and common drug reactionsResponds appropriately in a "code" situationPulls sheath on physician's orderUtilizes appropriate techniques to promote hemostasis following sheath removalAssists with ordering, inventory, stocking, cleaning and other departmental operations as neededAssists with departmental performance improvement activitiesAssists with patient transportAssists with orientation, training and education activitiesWhat qualifications you will need:Education/Skills: Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.Experience: Minimum two years' Critical Care/ER or Cath Lab experience required. Experience with Imaging procedures preferred. Activity and communication with Radiology Nurse Association (ARNA) preferred. Demonstrate ability to support patients and families undergoing imaging studies. Experience with radiation safety. Knowledge of medication administration and contraindications of contrast materials and radiopharmaceuticals preferred.Licenses, Registrations and/or Certifications: Registered Nurse License eligible to practice in the State of Texas; Texas State RN license required; current BLS within 30 days and ACLS obtained from approved HCA vendor required within 90 days.BenefitsMedical City Alliance, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
