Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned administrator, perform a variety of general clerical and record-keeping duties in support of school operations and activities; answer phones and greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors; prepare and maintain various records and reports.

Unit: CSEA Classification Work Hours/ Work Year: 7 to 8 hours per day / 10 Months (201 Days) CSEA Salary Range 124: Step A $26.80, Step B $28.15, Step C $29.58, Step D $31.08, Step E $32.65, Step F $34.30 Promotional/Open * The promotional group as well as the public may apply. The promotional side of the eligibility list shall take precedence when certifying eligibles. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year general clerical experience involving record-keeping duties and frequent public contact.

SELECTION & EXAMINATIONS: The selection process will consist of a competitive application screening for qualifications and completeness. A written/performance exam (weighted 40%) and an oral panel interview (weighted 60%) will be conducted. The written and oral exams are to be determined. A passing score must be achieved on each portion of the exams. Final selection will be made from those who achieve the three highest ranking scores.
