Kitchen Support/Assistant Teacher

Overview The Goddard School is a renowned program with a Piaget (Learning through Play) based foundation and a leader in the franchised preschool industry. The focus of the program is to provide a lifelong love of learning. Our staff is composed of dedicated teachers who understand each child’s needs and use Goddard Developmental Guidelines as the basis for unique lesson plans brought to life in a fun and imaginative way. Responsibilities Prepare morning and afternoon snacks Ensure kitchen compliance with Goddard''s quality standards Assist classroom teachers Meet the individual needs of the children Communicate with parents Participate in staff and training meetings Interact with children to support play, exploration, and learning Present expectations appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level Communicate professionally with parents and fellow staff Build teamwork Commit to continuing education Hours: available between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Job Requirements Available between 8:00am and 5:00pm Minimum of MSDE-OCS Teacher requirements (45-90 hour training) preferred Prior classroom experience Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices Strong written and communication skills Benefits Competitive salary Paid vacation Sick days Holidays Medical Insurance The Goddard School offers competitive compensation and benefits based on experience, education and certifications and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
