Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cytological evaluations of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens.
- Document findings in accordance with VA and ASCP standards.
- Participate in quality assurance, improvement initiatives, and staff meetings.
- Maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
- Report abnormal findings in alignment with VHA Directive 1088.
- Meet all continuing education, training, and certification requirements.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or higher).
- Active ASCP Cytotechnologist certification.
- Successful completion of PAP proficiency testing within the last 12 months.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice in any U.S. state or territory.
