Overview
Registered Nurse – First Assist (RNFA) travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA, starting 09/14/2026 for a weeks-long engagement. Weekly pay ranges from $3,247 to $3,557. There are no guaranteed hours. The role follows a 3x12-night shift in a hospital operating room, with on-call as needed and floating to the main OR as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Provide RN First Assistant support during operative cases, including exposure, retraction, dissection, and hemostasis; maintain sterile technique and assist with instrument and implant handling
- Prepare the operative field, assist with draping, patient positioning, and procedural setup; collaborate closely with the surgeon and circulating staff
- Manage intraoperative events, maintain accurate instrument and specimen counts, document findings, and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure
- Support turnover and room readiness, assist with positioning changes as needed, and float to the main OR as assigned
- Adhere to CNOR, ACLS, and BLS standards; participate in post-operative tasks as directed and ensure accurate perioperative charting

Requirements
- Massachusetts RN license active and in-hand at time of submission; conditional MA license acceptable
- RNFA with minimum 3 years RNFA experience; acute hospital OR experience preferred
- CNOR, ACLS, and BLS required
- Ability to work the 3x12-night shift and to float to the main OR as needed; on-call availability as required
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment and adhere to perioperative safety protocols
