Logistics Coordinator (Japanese)

Base pay range $40,000.00/yr - $50,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Comrise Term: Perm Salary: $40,000 to $50,000 per annum Industry: Food, Beverage, and Restaurant Supplies Manufacturing, Distribution, and Trade Essential Job Functions: Maintain accurate records in the Company AS400/ERP system, including inventory adjustment, price change, and container list. Manage all aspect of import process, including but not limited to preparing and submitting material declarations and shipping documents for ocean and air freight, custom clearance and transportation logistics. Communicate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure proper ISF filling and efficient transfer of goods through customs and import processes. Work closely with brokers, freight forwarders and warehouse to ensure the timely arrival of goods. Resolve issues related to shipment delays or customs queries by monitoring shipment schedules and shipping documentation; proactively addressing any discrepancies or delays. Support documentation and compliance efforts related to FDA, USDA and other regulatory requirements for imported products. Prepare and review cost calculations for ocean and air shipments from foreign countries. Process shipment receipts and vendor invoices, and issue compensation charges to vendors. Prepare weekly sales meeting, update reports to inform salesperson about new products, changes to existing products, and promotions. Assist in planning and executing logistics for the company’s annual Food Expo, including coordination with suppliers and vendors. Attend company events and functions outside of normal working hours. Perform other duties as assigned. Obligation to answer to all management as requested. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit and work in an office setting for extended period of time. Ability to type and use computer for extended periods. Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 20 pounds occasionally. Working Conditions: Noise Level – Normal to loud while in the office Other Requirements: Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese is highly preferred due to the nature of the role involving frequent communication with Japanese-speaking clients or partners. Purchasing experience (Import Side) Ability to work independently and efficiently as a team. Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload.
