Maintenance Technician II - 2nd ShiftHamilton, Ohio, United States — thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America IncYour ResponsibilitiesInstalls, maintains, and repairs industrial assembly equipment including but not restricted to pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Troubleshoots issues both physically and electronically via PLC or program investigation.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs production equipment for a safe and productive work environment. Including, but not restricted to:MechanicalPneumaticRoboticsElectricalHydraulicPLCPerforms Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to maintain safety and increase up-time of equipment.Makes recommendations for spare parts requirements and equipment improvements.Works on process support equipment improvement projects directed by the Manufacturing Engineering Dept.Complies with all safety standards and regulations provided by the company and government.Participates and contributes in a team environment by working with all levels of associates and coworkers.Documents all corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the course of the day in SAP.Performs all required duties and communicate information within shift overlap procedure.Adheres to all housekeeping SOP`s in and around work area including 6S standards.Works in accordance to all TS-16949 and ISO 14001 standards within assigned work area.Ensures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policies.Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Your ProfileQualifications and Experience:Detailed prior experience repairing and performing maintenance on manufacturing machinery and in trouble shooting, electronics 12VDC-460 VAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, motor starters, pumps and PLC controls.Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.Experience with PLC controllers, including but not restricted to:SiemensRockwell/Allen BradleyAbility to read and understand:Machine blue prints (2D and 3D)Electrical Schematics/Wiring DiagramsHydraulic SchematicsPneumatic Schematics/Valve DrawingsDemonstrates a strong customer focus along with a great work ethic and willingness to do what needs to be done (without taking shortcuts.)Possesses a stable work history and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.Demonstrated knowledge of basic math, including working with decimals.Possesses a logical method of problem solving and willingness to learn and improve one's skills.Demonstrates a strong commitment to meet and exceed customer requirements at all times.Must be able to work required overtime that can be substantial during peak customer production periods.Able to perform detailed work with a strong attention to detail and quality.Gains satisfaction from team accomplishments and takes pride in one's contributions.Sets high expectations and achieves results.Uses time wisely and is accountable to self and the team.Able to lift up to 40 pounds, perform repetitious duties and walk or stand for long periods of time on a daily basis.Demonstrated reliability, good initiative, committed, and quality focused.Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.Proven experience developing work processes to improve outcomes for the team/customers.Education:High School Diploma or G.E.D. and be able to read, write, and speak in English.Computer skills and knowledge of hardware & software required:Excel and Microsoft Word experienceNavigating folder structures within the network to locate files without shortcutsThe ability to upload, compare, and troubleshoot issues via:Control LogixCompact LogixStep 7SIMATICTIA PortalCertifications & licenses (i.e. CPA, etc.):None requiredPosition Demands:Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.The [above] is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
