Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Sonographer to perform adult echocardiography studies in a premiere cardiac center, requiring dedicated inpatient echo experience and prior TAVR pre-treatment scanning of critical aortic stenosis patients. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Graduate of CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI BLS certification from AHA License required if applicable Minimum of 200 documented inpatient echocardiography cases Dedicated inpatient echo work experience required Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies Must have experience scanning severe to critical aortic stenosis patients prior to TAVR treatment Ability to work independently and quickly recognize and respond to critical findings TEE and Stress Echo experience preferred Familiarity with 3D echo imaging preferred Experience with TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, and closure device protocols preferred Epic hospital information system familiarity preferred Responsibilities Non-Invasive Services unit performing high quality Adult Echo studies per ASE & IAC Guidelines Premiere cardiac center setting with ICAEL-accredited echo lab standards AM shift, 9.5 hours per day, 4 days per week, 38 hours weekly No on-call requirement Uses Philips ie33 and Epiq ultrasound systems Epic EMR used for charting May float to a sister hospital nearby Prepare patients for examination, explain procedures, and monitor patients throughout the process to reduce anxiety and ensure comfort Set up equipment and perform ultrasound procedures in a timely manner Review prior reports, images, and patient charts before exams Ensure proper images are obtained and studies are complete before notifying the reader Maintain records, logs, and inventory of supplies for the assigned area Candidates should have valve center or structural heart facility experience Accepts local candidates at a different rate Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr
