A respected technical industrial distributor is seeking a Regional Sales Manager who enjoys coaching salespeople, spending time in the field, and helping a team reach its potential.

The right person prefers spending time in the field with salespeople and customers rather than managing solely through reports and dashboards. Job Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales team across Florida.
• Spend regular time in the field conducting ride-alongs, customer visits, and sales coaching.
• Support branch engagement and local market growth initiatives.
• Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, customer retention, and stronger sales execution.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing business, expand customer relationships, regain lost business, and increase market share.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal business partners.
• Reinforce CRM utilization, sales process execution, performance metrics, and regular business cadence.
• Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, development, and retention of sales talent.
• Partner with branch leadership, operations, inside sales, and technical resources to improve customer experience and business performance.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience leading salespeople within a technical industrial distribution environment. Direct experience with process equipment or related industrial products is helpful, but an exact product match is not required.

Strong backgrounds include industrial or technical distribution organizations selling application-based products or technical solutions to OEMs, end users, manufacturers, municipalities, contractors, and other industrial customers. Relevant experience may include process equipment, fluid power, electrical or automation products, applied industrial products, MRO, infrastructure products, or other value-added industrial distribution markets.

Additional Qualifications

• Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing outside sales teams.
• Experience within technical industrial distribution or a closely related market.
• Experience leading a regional or multi-location sales organization.
• Ability to coach newer sales representatives and improve team performance.
• Strong customer, supplier, and relationship management skills.
• Understanding of revenue, margin, sales activity, forecasting, and customer retention metrics.
• Experience operating within CRM systems, established sales processes, performance metrics, and regular business reviews.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout Florida.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.

Compensation & Location

• Base salary: $100,000-$120,000 plus performance-based bonus opportunity
• Remote (Florida-based) with approximately 40%-50% travel throughout the state
• Oversight of a regional sales organization across multiple branch locations
