Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts Preferred (3x12 Also Considered) | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend | Holiday Rotation | On-Call/Call Rotation Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / General Surgery unit with patient ratios of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
• Participate in on-call and call rotation as required by the unit
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as directed
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Participate in holiday rotation; candidates available for holiday shifts are given priority consideration
• Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license required (SC license prioritized; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered with proof of application)
• BLS certification required
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; time-off requests submitted after placement are not accepted
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the system for at least one year before being eligible as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers considered but not preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience in a Medical Surgical or General Surgery setting
