We are an AAHA-accredited, Fear Free-focused general practice with multiple doctors, a diverse caseload, and a strong technician team. Our hospital provides opportunities to build your skills while working alongside experienced veterinary professionals. What You\'ll Do As a Veterinary Assistant, you\'ll play an important role in supporting our doctors and technician team while providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities May Include Assist with patient restraint and handling Perform venipuncture Place IV catheters Assist with anesthesia and patient monitoring Read and understand anesthetic monitoring equipment Assist with surgical procedures and patient preparation Support dental procedures and dental radiographs Assist with diagnostics and treatments Maintain a clean, organized environment Work collaboratively with doctors, technicians, and the entire hospital team What We\'re Looking For Must Have Proficiency with anesthetic monitoring Ability to read anesthetic monitoring equipment Venipuncture experience IV catheter placement experience Strong teamwork and communication skills A willingness to perform, learn, and laugh! What You\'ll Bring to the Team A High School Diploma or equivalent. A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure. Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.
