Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, possibly 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Emergency Department setting, managing lower-acuity patients (ESI 3–4) presenting with conditions such as abdominal pain, headache, and similar complaints
• Stabilize and coordinate transfer of critically ill patients as needed
• Perform labs, EKGs, patient transport, and transfers independently
• Float to affiliated freestanding emergency departments as assigned, based on acuity and census needs
• Complete SIMs Lab competencies including Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath access, maintaining strict sterile field technique
• Collaborate with PCTs, paramedics, and the on-site medical team to maintain a positive unit culture and strong teamwork

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Competency in sterile field technique, including Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath access
• Ability to pass a facility-required skills assessment (pass/fail) on Day 1 of orientation
• Minimum 2 weekends per month availability required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an emergency department setting; trauma experience is not required
• Familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitoring systems
• Charge nurse experience is a plus; charge role available (no patient assignment unless census exceeds 20)
