Job Description

GEOTECHNICAL DEPARTMENT MANAGER

A client of I.K. Hofmanns is looking for a Geotechnical Engineering Manager in Waco, TX. This person will be responsible for building out a team and tackling some of the most difficult civil and geotechnical engineering projects. You’ll drive operational excellence, expanding their geotechnical footprint across Texas and beyond.

Requirements

A Degree Civil Engineering (Geotechnical focus)
8–15+ years of hands-on experience in heavy civil projects
Experience within operations and management
Understanding of foundations, slopes, and MSE walls
Familiarity with TxDOT design practices (bonus points if you speak fluent Texas design)
Strong communication and writing skills
Texas PE license preferred, but P.E. from any state is REQUIRED
