Associate, 24 Hour Futures Desk (Asia Shift)

Position Futures Trader – 24‑Hour Desk

SHIFT TIME: 3 PM – 12 AM CT

Responsibilities Develop and maintain futures sales, execution and clearing relationships for RBC Capital Markets. Assist with the support side of Trading Systems. Collaborate with internal divisions (GELP, FICC and FX) to bring Futures execution flow to the 24‑hour Desk and support salespeople on execution and other issues. Market Fixed Income, Commodity and Index Futures clients. Grow and maintain a client base from sales referrals and existing relationships. Produce and distribute real‑time market commentary. Advise futures clients and solicit orders. Generate 24‑hour desk futures execution income in line with department goals. Minimize trade execution risk. Notify manager of, resolve and document all trading errors. Qualifications Proven accurate trade execution track record for a US FCM and/or investment bank on a 24‑hour desk executing futures and options transactions in worldwide markets. A minimum of 3–5 years of futures execution experience is preferred. In‑depth knowledge of futures electronic execution systems and of CFTC, SEC and exchange rules and regulations for trade execution, including audit trail, order entry rules and sales supervision rules and regulations. Highly motivated and energetic self‑starter who works well with teams. Series3 required. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Extensive knowledge and understanding of all global futures markets to aid in best execution. Compensation The good‑faith expected salary range for the above position is $165,000–$200,000 depending on factors such as experience, registration status, market conditions and business needs. This range does not include other elements of total compensation, such as discretionary bonus, benefits (401(k) program with company matching, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and paid time‑off).
