Car Title Clerk

Position Summary:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Car Title Clerk to handle vehicle title documentation and related administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry and customer service skills and be comfortable working with confidential documents, deadlines, and detailed paperwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vehicle titles, registrations, transfers, and related paperwork accurately and promptly
• Review title documents for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare and submit paperwork to the DMV and other appropriate agencies
• Process title applications, lien releases, duplicate titles, and ownership transfers
• Verify VIN numbers, buyer/seller information, and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical title records
• Track outstanding titles and follow up on missing or incomplete documentation
• Communicate with customers, dealerships, financial institutions, auction personnel, and DMV representatives as needed
• Enter vehicle and title information accurately into computer systems
• Handle confidential customer and vehicle information professionally
• Assist with general clerical duties, including filing, scanning, emailing, and answering phones

Qualifications:

• Previous automotive title clerk, dealership, DMV, tag/title, or automotive administrative experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent data entry and computer skills
• Ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of North Carolina title and registration procedures is a plus

Ideal Candidate:

Someone who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to catch errors before paperwork is submitted. Experience working with vehicle titles, dealerships, car auctions, or DMV documentation would be highly desirable.
