We are hiring full-time janitors for positions at Oakland University and other locations within the school district, requiring one year of janitorial experience.

The work schedule varies, primarily from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time roles.

The pay range for this position is between $15.50 and $16.00 per hour, with same-day pay available.

We are hiring immediately for full time JANITOR positions. Location : Oakland University - 411 Pioneer Drive, Rochester, MI 48309. Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Essential duties and responsibilities include collecting and disposing of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans, dusting and damp mopping floors following approved procedures, moving equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and placing furniture back in correct placement, cleaning assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment, sanitizing all surfaces, washing walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff, seeking out areas requiring cleaning; taking initiative to complete the task, completing all tasks assigned by supervisor, performing tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines, stripping, scrubbing, buffing and refinishing floors; shampooing carpet, contributing to the team; exhibiting professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others, and performing other duties as assigned.
