Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position at a Level I Trauma, teaching hospital in Flagstaff, AZ, requiring SEMI experience and on-call availability.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab unit of a 268-bed short-term acute care, Magnet-recognized, Level I trauma teaching hospital
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Weekend requirement: as needed, typically every other weekend
• On-call required: 18 days per 8-week period as part of a 3-person call team (may be the only RN alongside 2 techs)
• Floating required to pre- and post-cath lab areas
• Charting via Cerner
• Equipment includes GE and Philips imaging systems
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or a valid compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Experience with SEMI (Structural and/or Electrophysiology/Myocardial Intervention) required
• Must be comfortable independently managing all aspects of high-acuity Cath Lab care, as the RN may be the sole nurse on the call team
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide high-acuity Cath Lab nursing care including procedures on GE and Philips systems
• Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards, including barcode medication administration (BCMA)
• RNs may wear any scrub color
• All time-off requests must be submitted upfront; scheduling changes require unit manager approval
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
