Crossing Guard (Part Time, Split Shift, Normally 2 hours per day)

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to ensure the safety of children and pedestrians at designated crossing locations. This part-time position requires a commitment to working split shifts, typically totaling 2 hours per day during peak school hours. (9 month position) The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe environment for students as they travel to and from school. Responsibilities Direct traffic and ensure the safe crossing of pedestrians at designated crosswalks. Monitor and enforce traffic laws to promote safety for students and other pedestrians. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and drivers to ensure a clear understanding of crossing procedures. Remain vigilant and attentive during crossing duties, watching for potential hazards. Report any incidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions to the appropriate authorities. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing crossing duties in various weather conditions.
