Physician AssistantPlastics & Reconstructive Surgery

Our organization is currently in search of a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Plastic Surgery. This role is part of the Department of Surgery and is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and education within the Valleywise Health Care System. The selected candidate will work closely with attending surgeons to ensure high-quality services at the Valleywise Health Medical Center (VWH), a public hospital recognized as a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center by both state and the American College of Surgeons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations for patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
• Input patient orders as instructed.
• Evaluate and discuss medical imaging and laboratory results with attending physicians, hospital personnel, and patients as necessary.
• Perform daily hospital rounds and document notes on patient progress.
• Assist attending surgeons during surgical procedures.
• Under the guidance of an attending physician, carry out bedside or clinic procedures for plastic surgery patients.

The Division of Surgery within our organization offers a rich and varied experience, encompassing both Level 1 trauma/emergency cases and plastic & reconstructive surgery, along with elective practices at VWH.
