A retail pharmacist PRN position is available in Kennard, TX, providing critical pharmacy services on a per diem basis. This role requires a professional pharmacist dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Scheduled shifts include specific dates through November, with limited hours on select days (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.). The position offers flexibility for pharmacists seeking part-time per diem work with a focus on exceptional customer experience and medication safety.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA privacy rules.
• Perform thorough final verification of prescriptions from authorized prescribers.
• Provide information and counseling regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage to patients and prescribers.
• Maintain quality assurance procedures and proper handling of controlled substances and hazardous waste.
• Respond to pharmacist-required phone inquiries and retrieve voicemail messages.
• Manage patient counseling and resolve customer conflicts, both in-person and over the phone.
• Note: This location does not provide vaccinations or Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent pharmacy experience.
• Active, clear Texas pharmacist license.
• Proficiency with Pioneer RX pharmacy software.
