Senior AI Engineer - LLM Customization & Finetuning

Salary: $225,400 - 280,600 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields with at least 6 years of experience in AI and ML algorithm development, or a Masters degree with at least 4 years of experience
• Minimum of 6 years of coding experience in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java
• 7 years of experience in implementing scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Experience in designing, integrating, and supporting intricate AI systems
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders
• Background in developing AI and ML algorithms such as LLM Inference and Similarity Search
• Practical knowledge of performance optimization techniques for training and inference software
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex AI concepts to colleagues

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, research scientists, program managers, and product managers to deliver AI-driven products that transform associate and customer interactions with Capital One
• Design, develop, test, launch, and maintain AI software components including model training, inference, similarity search, and governance
• Utilize a diverse range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies, including AWS Ultraclusters and Huggingface
• Create and implement cutting-edge LLM optimization techniques to enhance performance metrics such as scalability, cost, and latency
• Contribute to the long-term technical vision and roadmap for Capital Ones foundational AI systems
