Medical Laboratory Tech PRN – HCA Houston Healthcare Position: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) PRN Location: Houston, TX Job Summary Seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) PRN to join our laboratory team in The Woman’s Hospital of Texas who will foster an environment of teamwork, quality and safety for our patients. What You Will Do Perform manual and automated test procedures. Accurately report laboratory results, including special calculations and critical values. Execute a broad range of laboratory procedures, or concentrate activities in one area such as chemistry, hematology, or microbiology. Answer inquiries regarding tests, methodology, test specificity and sensitivity. Evaluate and solve problems related to the collection and processing of biological specimens for analysis. Work efficiently and respond to priority tests to provide optimum patient care. Qualifications Associate Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Medical Laboratory Technology/Clinical Laboratory Technology (MLT/CLT) from an accredited institution. Or be qualified under CLIA guidelines for MLT/CLT. MLT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred. Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
