Sterile Processing Tech - Location: Golden, CO; Agency: IMCS Group; Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details); Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours; Start Date: 6/8/2026 About the Position AlliedTravelCareers is working with IMCS Group to find a qualified Sterile Processing Tech in Golden, Colorado, 80439! Responsibilities Assemble, clean, disinfect, sterilize and/or store procedure trays, surgical trays and equipment. Assemble, distribute and/or deliver disposable and durable medical equipment, case carts and supplies to fill the needs of the Operating Room, Nursing Units, Ancillary Departments and SCL Clinics. Operate and monitor sterilization equipment. Disassemble carts and follow Universal Precautions for decontamination. Sterilize, disinfect durable medical equipment and instruments, package clean supplies and instruments, maintain records for all instruments and transport sterilized items to the floor. Assemble sterilized instruments and recheck all instruments for cleanliness and/or impairment; properly check power equipment. Track instruments and implants through labeling processes, reporting and documenting missing items; ensure easy instrument tracking. Communicate equipment and instrument inventory status with Central Processing staff and Surgery Charge Nurse (order status, back orders, changes). Respond to emergencies to ensure all emergency, trauma and add-on cases are supplied properly and delivered to the Operating Room in a timely manner. Utilize applications and technology to facilitate record keeping in accordance with State and Federal regulations. Provide on-the-job training (OJT) to newly hired associates in the department. Performs other duties as assigned; may work overtime, float to other departments within scope, or be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift. Qualifications Required Skills & Experience: ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; experience with computers and software relevant to Sterile Processing; ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment; ability to work nights and/or weekends; regular on-site attendance. Preferred Skills & Experience: hospital or clinic operating room experience. Education: High School diploma or equivalent (Required); Completed High School (Diploma or GED). Certifications & Licensure: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician).
