This position is in our Strategic Deterrent Systems Division to execute the Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase of the Sentinel Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This position will be located on campus in Roy, UT and may require on-site support at product manufacturing and integration sites. The qualified candidate will work within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, interfacing with IPT leadership, suppliers, customers, and other technical disciplines to engineer design solutions to challenging problems through the development of Product Definition Packages (PDP).Roles and ResponsibilitiesCreate and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms that are verified through test/analysisDevelop CAD models visualizing various design solutionsImplement program processes and engineering board approval processes for developed PDPsDeliver required PDPs on time to meet program objectivesIntegrate Infrastructure Integration PDPs with the various element teams to proactively eliminate disconnects and design clashesIdentify gaps within a design and/or requirements and provide a resolution that is cost effective, innovative, and has minimal impact to othersEnsure the developed PDPs meet the design requirements from the various element/configured item specificationsSupport digital transformation initiatives relating to PDP development and releaseBasic QualificationsRequires U.S. citizenship with an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance or higher adjudicated within the past 6 yearsMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needsRequires a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of related experience; a Masters degree with 6 years; or a PhD with 4 yearsRequires experience with system integration and test principlesRequires experience with development and qualification testing, including test planning, execution, and reporting phases of testRequires experience preparing and presenting technical status to leadership and customersPreferred QualificationsICBM ExperienceExperience in creating a Product Definition Package (PDP) or PDP like productsExperience with the ASME Y14.X suite of engineering drawing standardsAbility to work closely with multiple functional organizations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Field Operations, etc.)Experience with Teamcenter or Teamcenter CPLM Product Lifecycle Management ToolExperience with Siemens NXExperience leading a multidisciplinary teamPosition BenefitsAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:Medical, Dental & Vision coverage401kEducational AssistanceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Programs & Work/Life SolutionsPaid Time OffHealth & Wellness ResourcesEmployee Discounts This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.#SentinelMechanicalPrimary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
