Senior Scientist / Engineer

Job Summary This position serves as a Senior Scientist / Engineer at 2 Circle Consulting Inc. The Senior Scientist / Engineer will support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E). Work on-site in Arlington, VA is required. Essential Job Functions Lead advisor to OUSD R&E leadership on research and development. Technical advisor in the following areas: Military systems Cyber Electronic warfare Optics Material Science Electromagnetics Technology transition & fielding Written documentation and briefing of essential job functions. Qualifications Doctoral degree required. Five years’ experience in the Department of Defense (DoD). Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel). Efficient and accurate work output. Good documentation, writing, and reporting skills. Must be self-starter, able to take initiative, work independently and recognize management issues that need to be elevated. Must be able to multi-task and maintain deadline punctuality during pressurized situations. TS//SCI Clearance Required.
