Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 49-bed Cardiac/Medical Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Interpret and sign telemetry strips at least once per shift; monitor patients on set-rate drips including Diltiazem/Cardizem
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, CVA/TIA, post-cath, and total joint replacement
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and administer breathing treatments
• Adhere to a self-scheduling system based on 4-week schedules, including 2 weekends per 4-week period and rotating holiday coverage
• Float to additional campus locations as needed, including a step-down/PCU setting if qualified

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Arizona
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to contract start
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret basic telemetry strips
• Experience with CVA and TIA patient populations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR strongly recommended due to limited unit orientation (1 shift)
• Total joint replacement nursing experience
• Familiarity with post-cardiac catheterization patient care
