Transactions Consultant Latam Date: Jun 23, 2026 Location: US Company: Black & Veatch Family of Companies Employment Type: Staff, Full-Time The Opportunity Contribute to technical due diligence engagements for a variety of assets, including renewable energy, conventional generation, oil & gas, transmission, water, data centers, and new energy projects such as hydrogen, ammonia, carbon capture, and renewable fuels, on behalf of lenders and investors. Provide data collection and analysis, develop technical assessment reports, conduct site visits, build and maintain client contacts, and take on increasing project management responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Transfer knowledge and skills to improve team performance. Enhance working relationships with team members and client management. Contribute to quality review on engagements. Meet client expectations within the scope of the engagement role. Develop knowledge bases using best practices. Outline performance measures, targets, and goals to articulate business cases. Contribute to multiple concurrent projects. Translate analyses into written reports and presentations. Industry Knowledge Capability Solid working knowledge of conventional generation, oil & gas, transmission, water, data centers, and renewable energy technologies such as solar PV, wind, and battery energy storage. Experience with plant engineering and design, inspections, outage assessment, budget processes, equipment condition assessment, capital project assessments, and financial analysis. Produce moderately complex work products across engagement phases. Apply appropriate methods for client needs. Resolve technical problems with occasional assistance. Develop, present, and defend conclusions, recommendations, and implementation plans. Apply best practices knowledge of relevant industries. Preferred Qualifications Engineering or environmental degree; financial, economic, or MBA degrees considered with relevant experience. Knowledge of a complete transaction engagement and due diligence lifecycle. Business development capability. Advanced technical or industry knowledge, including power generation experience. Experience in executing Latin America infrastructure project development, construction, or financing. Familiarity with regulatory and energy market landscape across Latin America. Spanish language professional working proficiency or higher. Knowledge of consulting processes. Human relations skills including collaboration and teamwork. Ability to operate multiple software packages. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience. 4+ years experience in a business/consulting environment. Certifications Certifications related to area of expertise preferred. Work Environment / Physical Demands Hybrid in BV office 3 days per week; travel up to 25% (including international).
