Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an engaging opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting K-12 students in a vibrant district near Ann Arbor, MI. This contract role runs from August 24th through December 18th, providing valuable leave coverage. Options are available for either one full-time OT or two part-time professionals, offering flexibility to fit your schedule and lifestyle.
In this role, you’ll use your expertise to help students achieve their best in the educational setting. You’ll design and implement individualized therapy plans, collaborate closely with school staff, and serve a diverse caseload across grade levels. Your skills will be essential in supporting students’ motor, sensory, and adaptive needs, ensuring they have the tools for success.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Proficiency in developing and documenting Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Capable of managing a dynamic caseload of K-12th grade students
- Reliable, compassionate, and flexible in adapting to student and district needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Provide direct therapy services individually and in small groups
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school guidelines
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to foster student progress
- Support each student’s educational participation and functional independence
