Role Overview

Build high-reliability electro-mechanical and optoelectronic assemblies by following visual work instructions, quality procedures, and IPC-610 workmanship standards.

• Assemble electronic and mechanical components to specification using visual aids.
• Perform precision soldering under magnification on shielded cables and wire harnesses to host assemblies.
• Operate hand/power tools and specialized assembly equipment.
• Apply quality practices, record results, and verify builds meet requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation consistent with cleanroom protocols.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of your own work at every step.

• Plan work using experience and judgment; handle a variety of complex tasks.
• Independently execute builds and, when needed, provide informal direction to others.
• Impact of error is direct and visible in final product quality.

• Reports to: Supervisor / Manager
• Interfaces: Inter-company personnel across teams
• People managed: None

• Solid understanding of standard industry concepts and procedures; strong knowledge of IPC-610.
• Demonstrated skill with soldering equipment and wires-to-host assembly.
• Cleanroom experience and adherence to ESD protocols.
• Detail orientation, clear communication, and agility in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative approach and broad latitude to meet build challenges.

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• Working knowledge of IPC standards.
• 3+ years of relevant electronics/electro -mechanical assembly experience.
• Optics background preferred (lens-based assemblies, etc.).
