1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants Direct message the job poster from Akkodis Akkodis is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a 6+ months Contract position with a client located in Minneapolis, MN Pay Range: $50-60/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.) Job Description - Key Responsibilities • Provide test and manufacturing support for Ring Laser Gyro (RLG) and Tactical Guidance Products (TGP) production. • Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability, product health trends and drive yield improvements. • Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices. • Investigate and resolve technical issues, facilitate issue identification and analysis. • Develop improvements in product design and in the manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions. • Assist development of new products. • Support knowledge for test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow. • Facilitate a self-driven work force culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals. MUST HAVE: • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics • 5+ years experience WE VALUE: • Product or process engineering experience. • Product assembly and test experience. • Experience with optics, sensors, and/or electronic assemblies. • Experience with product yield management and improvement. • Experience with programming and troubleshooting equipment with PLC controllers. • Experience in manufacturing of products for regulated industries (aerospace, medical, automotive). • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment. • Ability to balance priorities in daily tasks and strategic projects. • Hands on work ethic. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities and actions. • Ability to partner and collaborate well with team members across functions. • Quickly and accurately identifying subtle interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues (process and data correlation of cause/effect across value stream). • Conveying information with clarity and directness, ensuring the message is understood across diverse teams.
